Jesus often used simple and relatable stories to illustrate a higher meaning, or spiritual lesson (also known as parables). Luke 15:8-10 tells the parable of the lost coin. In this parable, a woman has ten silver coins but loses one of them. She, of course, goes through the trouble of sweeping and searching her whole house until she finds this missing coin. When she finally finds it, she rejoices with her friends and neighbors. Jesus tells us that, in the same way, all of God’s angels rejoice over one sinner who repents! Each one of us is of great importance to God and His angels and we see that when we are guilty of sin but come to repentance, this makes them exceedingly glad! #ThanksforAsking!
