In John 2 Jesus was going to Jerusalem and discovering people selling animals and exchanging money in the temple. The temple was the house of God and was never meant to be used for such things. Jesus was filled with a righteous anger and overturned the tables of the money changers. While this may seem out of character compared to what we typically read about Jesus, His actions were of course justified as He was putting an end to the defilement of His Father’s house. This probably did not make Him popular with the people around Him, but He was standing up for what was right. May we all strive to demonstrate the same kind of fortitude. #ThanksforAsking!
