While the exact locations of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection are unknown, these coordinates are an approximation of one of the proposed locations. This may or may not be the exact location, but the intent of this design is all the same: to turn our minds to the single most important event in history. Jesus Christ humbled Himself by leaving His home in heaven to come to Earth to live as a man. He suffered persecution and experienced the same kinds of temptations we face today, yet He remained without sin. Then, He suffered the cruel punishment of the Roman soldiers for crimes He never committed. He did all of this so He could be the perfect sacrifice – the only one fitting to take away our sin. He gave His life on the cross and was resurrected on the third day, defeating death and offering us the hope of eternal life through Him (1 Corinthians 15)! #ThanksforAsking!
